Formed in 1989, The Pearl Palm Court Ensemble specialises in the popular and light classical music which was played in salon, ballroom and bandstand from late Victorian times until the late 1960's. The Ensemble offers a musical journey among the potted palms: a world of valses and veletas, serenades and sarabandes, foxtrots and fandangos, rumbas and ragtime, a repertoire that includes music by the great Victorian and Edwardian favourites Ketelbey, Friml, Coates, Coward, Kern, Berlin and Novello.
